AZ We Dance

We hope you'll plan to join us for the 2012 May Madness,  the weekend of May 4, 5 & 6, in historic Clarkdale, Arizona.  This year our dance falls on the weekend of Cinco de Mayo and we'll be celebrating in style with three great bands and callers in a fabulous new venue. Come party with us southwestern style as we put a spicy twist on the celebration of May 5, all in a theme of "Cinco de Madness." In addition to our traditional program of mostly contras in the main hall and musician's workshops throughout the day on Saturday, we're adding a sampling of dance workshops to round out our program.

 

 

The historic town of Clarkdale is located in the beautiful Verde Valley of Northern Arizona.  Just  130 miles north of Phoenix and 60 miles south of Flagstaff,   Clarkdale is  nestled at  3,300 feet between Jerome and Cottonwood. You can't help but be captivated by all that this area has to offer...   nature, art, outdoor recreation (hiking, biking and river running), history and even wine tasting!  Not only is Clarkdale a wonderful place to explore, but the early May weather will be perfect for any outdoor activity you wish to partake in! You'll definitely be tempted to spend a few extra days in the area before or after the weekend, so be sure to investigate your possibilities before you come.
